Season’s Best Seasonings
Infuse your brews with warmth with these spices!
As the weather gets colder, the best way to get warm (besides bundling up of course) is drinking a warm, spiced brew, whether that’s coffee or tea. Here are some of our recommendations for quality seasoning and the best ways to make your brews even hotter.
Seasonings
Here are some of the best spices we recommend to season your coffee or teas!
Cardamom
Clove
Cinnamon
Star Anise
Ginger
Nutmeg
Rosemary
Allspice
French Press
Got a French Press at home? Add ground spices of your choice to your coffee grounds, mix well, and then add that mixture directly to your French Press. Pour hot water over your press, steep for at least 4 minutes, and you’ve got spiced coffee!
Pot Coffee
If you only have a pot and a stovetop, that’s perfectly fine! You have two options:
1. Add whole spices to a pot of boiling water and let them simmer for a bit. Then, stir in your ground coffee, bring the mixture to a boil, and turn off the heat. Let the coffee steep before serving.
2. Alternatively, mix ground spices with your ground coffee, add it to boiling water, and let it steep.
Either method works great!
EcoPods
While brewing spiced coffee with EcoPods may seem difficult, it is totally possible. First put your EcoPod into your coffee maker and let it brew. Then when your coffee is done, add a few drops of ground spices or whole spice into your mug. Mix well for the best taste.
