Cameron’s Coffee is expanding its 28-32 oz. coffee offerings. In fact, we’re doubling the number of varieties we offer in value size bags from 12 to 25!
Why are we doing this? Quite simply, because people are drinking more coffee in general, and more Cameron’s Coffee in particular. And we’ve found that, for real coffee lovers, this is the perfect amount of coffee to buy.
How do we know this? Well, here are some factoids we find interesting:
- The average coffee drinker, male or female, drinks 3.2 cups of coffee every day
- The average size of each of those cups is 9 oz.
- Most coffee makers use a standard 6 oz. cup definition, which we also use when we suggest 1-2 tablespoons per 6 oz. cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of coffee, on average, equals 13.3 grams or 0.46 ounces
Then we did some simple math:
- If you drink 3.2 cups each day, that’s 22.4 cups in a week
- If there are two coffee drinkers in your house, double that to 44.8 cups. To make the math simpler, let’s round that to 45.
- 2 tablespoons (0.46 oz.) coffee for 6 oz water translates to 3 tablespoons (0.69 oz.) coffee for 9 oz. water.
- 45 cups in a week x 0.69 oz. equals 31.05 ounces, or about two lbs of coffee.
So, it’s no surprise why we’re selling so many 28-32 oz. bags of Cameron’s Coffee. It’s the perfect size for a week’s worth of your favorite flavor or blend!
An added bonus is the fact that a single value size bag has 44% less packaging material than three of our 10-12 oz. bags, which add up to about the same amount of coffee (30-36 oz.).
