Meet Scott Johnson, Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor
This month we’d like to introduce you to Scott Johnson. His team describes him as having a high level of infectious energy, a great sense of humor, being an avid outdoorsman (hunting, camping, hiking, biking), and “overall one heck of a work ethic on that man”. Read on to learn more about Scott!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Green Bay, WI (GO PACK GO!) I liked that it was a small town offering many different activities. You could head down to Bay Beach Amusement Park, watch the Green Bay Packers practice, catch a baseball game or even a hockey game.
Where do you live now?
Now I live in Belle Plaine, MN, with my wife Nancy of 29 years. We met in high school, she went to a small country school and I was from one of the bigger city schools in Green Bay. In 2021 we’re planning on going somewhere overseas for our 30th wedding anniversary. We have a Goldendoodle named Felix. He’s the best dog we’ve ever had. My daughter Miranda is still at home but plans on moving out this fall. My son Cain is in his 3rd year of medical school and will become an anesthesiologist, he’s also married.
When did you first try Cameron’s?
I first tried Cameron’s Coffee when I was 20. I had one of the flavored coffees and have been drinking it ever since. I’ve just recently started to drink our Vanilla Hazelnut Cold Brew – delicious!
What do you do at Cameron’s, and how long have you been doing it?
I started out as the Shipping Lead in 2018 and I transitioned into the Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor in February 2020. In this role I direct the team on daily tasks and workload throughout our Finished Goods Warehouse, and help out wherever needed.
What’s your favorite part of working at Cameron’s?
The people I get to work with every day. We all have one goal and that’s to make sure our customers are getting their orders in full and on time.
What do you love about coffee?
One is the smell of it when it has just been roasted. Plus, there are so many different flavors to choose from.
What’s your favorite Cameron’s blend, and how do you like to brew it?
I like Organic Breakfast Blend & Toasted Southern Pecan. We make our coffee in the old-fashioned Mr. Coffee pot.
What does your ideal Saturday morning look like?
Once we have walked our dog, we make eggs, bacon or venison sausage links with Greek yogurt pancakes, and I wash it all down with a great cup of Cameron’s Coffee of course.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Currently I’m finishing my basement, making it into a family room. I like to go to the shooting range with friends, shoot a round of golf, go fishing or take long bike rides (20+ mile rides). I also love whitetail deer hunting in the fall.
Favorite place to grab food or drink?
When in Green Bay it would have to be Los Banditos for their Tuna Fajitas. In Shakopee we love going to McCoys Copper Pint and getting the Turkey Burger or the Big Heat with sweet potato fries!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an EMS or a police officer, I’ve always liked to help people in any way I could.
Any other fun facts about you?
I attended Super Bowl 31 where I was able to watch the Green Bay Packers defeat the New England Patriots.
