Meet Morgan Kocon, Marketing Manager
If you’ve ever seen an Always Smooth, Never Bitter billboard while driving around the Twin Cities or enjoyed a Good Things blog post in the past, you’ve witnessed the handiwork of Camerons’ dynamic marketing manager, Morgan Kocon.
We think she’s pretty great for a bunch of reasons, but here’s a quick little list:
1. She always shares her Key Lime LaCroix.
2. She knows the Cameron’s brand like the back of her hand, and she nurtures it day in and day out.
3. She’s quick to lend an ear or a helping hand—no matter how tough the task.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota! A few fun connections:
• My fiancé grew up in Plymouth, Michigan
• My parents grew up in Shakopee, MN, where Cameron’s Coffee is headquartered and where I work every day 😊
What do you do at Cameron’s, and how long have you been doing it?
At Cameron’s, I’m the Marketing Manager and I’ve been here for a year and a half. I’m responsible for making sure consumers like you hear about Cameron’s Coffee and are encouraged to purchase it! I mainly work on our digital media, social media, eCommerce and Social Responsibility programs.
What’s your favorite part of working at Cameron’s?
My favorite part about working at Cameron’s is everything that goes with working at a small company: coworkers quickly become family, you’re all working together to continue the growth of the brand, and you can get work done quickly without making a ton of PowerPoints and getting 5 people’s approval.
What do you love about coffee?
So much! I love how it makes my morning go from good to great. Most of all, I love how it transforms me; it wakes up my mind, fills me with warmth and puts a smile on my face. Plus, it just tastes great.
What’s your favorite Cameron’s blend, and how do you like to brew it?
It’d be hard to find me drinking anything but Roastmaster’s Blend! It’s delicious and I’m so thankful to Patrick, our Roastmaster, for creating it. Typically, I brew it with a normal drip brewer, but I’m excited to eventually use the pour over my fiancé and I got for our wedding!
One of Cameron’s goals is to help make every day brighter. Besides a giant mug of Cameron’s Coffee in the AM, what, or who inspires you to live your best life?
There are so many people that inspire me! I get inspiration close to home from my badass girlfriends, caring mother and supportive sister. I (weirdly?) feel so inspired by a lot of strangers I follow on the internet, too! From @JennaKutcher to @champagneandmacaroons and a ton of bride related bloggers, as that’s the season of life I’m in. I also hope to be an amazing mama someday so I love following along on Instagrammer’s mom life like @alifedotowsky and @alexandrananne.
What does your ideal Saturday morning look like?
If I’m in the cities, it’s a slow start! I’d walk to the nearest coffee shop with my fiancé and pup, Nora, and then hang out on the couch reading a good book and taking in the day! If it’s a summer weekend at the Kocon Kabin, I’d probably wake up with the sun and brew a pour over of whatever Cameron’s blend my parents currently have (most likely Velvet Moon) and head out to the dock with a strong cup of coffee and play fetch with Nora in the lake!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love staying active and working out, my current obsession is Orange Theory Fitness. If I’m not doing that, you can probably find me reading a good book, catching up on trashy TV like the Bachelor and The Challenge, or hanging out with friends and family playing games and drinking a good glass of red wine.
Where are some of your favorite spots to grab food and drinks around The Cities?
A few staples for us are Bar La Grassa and Burch, but I also love getting pizza at Pizzeria Lola. We also love checking out the local breweries like Surly, Inbound, Unmapped, and Dangerous Man.
