DIY Cold Brew Coffee Bags

Cold brewing your coffee just got so much smoother!

Making cold brew coffee seems time-consuming and challenging to those who are new to the brew, but it doesn’t have to be difficult! Using homemade coffee filter bags is an essential hack that makes the process so much smoother. Learn how to do it yourself at home, cut down on filtering time, and enjoy your beautiful brew.

Here is what you’ll need:

Coffee (check out our assortment of cold brew blends)
Water
A Mason Jar or any container with a cover.
String

Directions:

  1. Take as many filters as you wish and add ½ cup of coffee grounds into each.
  2. Fold each filter upwards so that the filter pleats line up (like a taco!).
  1. Take a piece of string and tie it around the filter so that the tops are tightly closed. This should resemble a bulky tea bag.
  2. You can tie all of the coffee filters together on one string or leave them separate to your preference.
  1. Put your coffee bags into your jar or container of water, and let it sit for 12-24 hours.
  2. 12-24 hours later, take the coffee bags out of your water, and voila! You have cold brew coffee with none of the muss or fuss.
